I just read a great write up on a new service called RidetheCity.com-- it's a google mashup that helps you find great places to bike safely:
RideTheCity.com: A Google Maps App for Safe Biking Does anyone have any other great resources? |

runningmap.com
great to use for either running or biking, you can plan your run or bike ahead of time, or you can check how much distance you actually covered. |

Mapmyride/run is a good site to see locals routes and distances. I'll take a look at the google one.

I liked Mapmyride. The one thing that I found that was difficult was that it just gave me the most direct route if I was biking. It had me riding over water to get to the office if I wanted to ride a bike to work.
Maybe I was doing it wrong but it would be great if you could enter in the addresses and the tool would give you suggested routes, routes that other users have used, etc. |
